Gordon Ramsay-trained Chef, James Crossman creates finest French cuisine

James began his chef career at the tender age of 19, working as an apprentice under Head Chef, Jean Louis David at French restaurant, Petit Paris. Thereafter he joined Claridges, London where, under the direction of Gordon Ramsay, his team achieved a Michelin star in 2002.  His passion for French cuisine resulted in his becoming Executive Chef at Paris Bar and Restaurant, where he oversees a team of accomplished chefs.

According to reviews, Paris Bar and Restaurant is among one of the best in Nottingham.  It receives mainly 5 star-reviews, with comments such as, “amazing from start to finish”, streaming through.  People love the variety of food, and rarely is anyone disappointed with a meal.  Some of the firm favourites are the pork, duck, salmon and lobster tagliatelle.  Paris Bar and Restaurant has a highly-trained staff compliment, and patrons often comment on how helpful, friendly and attentive they are.

Le Mistral prides itself on being a venue for all occasions.  From engagement parties, to romantic dinners and even work functions, Le Mistral caters for all.  Food is locally-sourced and being an “environmentally” sensitive restaurant, Le Mistral actively takes steps to being more sustainable.  Towards this end, they include a wide variety of “plant-based” items on their menu, use the most eco-friendly straws, napkins and toilet rolls, in addition to reducing food waste through composting practices.  They have switched from oil and gas-based energy sources to 100% renewable energy, and are even installing electric car charging ports in their parking lot.

Le Mistral takes the safety of its patrons and staff very seriously.  There are strict COVID-19 protocols in place, including strict mask-wearing, sanitising protocols, safe distance seating and the provision of staff PPE.  For customers who don’t want to risk attending the restaurant in-person, Le Mistral offers a large variety on their take-away menu.

Although Petit Paris is currently not operating as a dine-in restaurant, it is still receiving excellent reviews.  People rate the food as superb quality, and report that the home delivery service exceeds expectations.  Petit Paris is also offering a home-delivery Christmas meal.  Cooked by head chef, James Crossman, Petit Paris will ensure that Christmas is an effortless and successful event.

French Living – Nottingham’s Guilty Secret

Established in 1994 by Louise and Stephane, French Living is still in the same location in Nottingham, and while it has evolved and grown over time, its mission and values have remained unchanged.  Married in 1988, Stephane is a Frenchman from Corsica and Louise, a Nottingham girl.

French Living began as a small shop selling French goods such as goat’s cheese, French wine, charcuterie, French grocery items and dishes.  Customers were enticed by the delicious baguettes and beautiful coffee aromas, and as a result, French Living Deli began.  Soon more tables were added, and eventually the vibrant deli became a full-fledged restaurant.

Known as the “French Gem”, French Living is not short of 5-star reviews.  The atmosphere and experience make one feel as if one were sitting in the middle of France.  Customers often comment on the wide variety on the menu, and just how reasonably priced all the food is.  Firm favourites among the patrons include the kir royale, baguettes, galettes, venison terrine, poisson du jour (or fish of the day), steak frites and lamb’s liver.
